Parent Involvement At Cahoon Magnet we encourage the involvement of parents.  Parent involvement is key to the success of our students.  Parents can participate in workshops regarding such issues as testing, helping their child with homework, parenting skills, reading and technology, etc.  Parents are encouraged to join the PTA and participate in various PTA functions throughout the school year.  To promote a healthy partnership, learning compacts that involve commitment on the part of the parents, teachers, and students are present to help promote a positive learning environment. Parents are invited to be part of our School Advisory Committee.  This committee, composed of parents, teachers and business partners, helps to develop our School Improvement Plan and monitor its implementation.  Parents are a very essential part of this team, because they bring to the table a constructive voice to enable us to develop best practices and address the needs of the school community.
